On the flowmaster web site they say this is a new muffler as of August 1, has anyone bought one yet and if so how is it , when I enter my truck in their filter it comes up with this muffler but doesn't say if it's a direct fit . The description looks promising

I used to run regular 40 series on my GMs and fords and really liked them. Then I ran a super 44 on my last GM with 5.3 and LOVED it.

Unfortunately I have no experience with the super 40 but I bet it's sweet if it's anything like the super 44.

It's not gonna be a direct fit because your replacing an elephant sized muffler. With that said I put on a super10 and it took like 45 mins. I got the 3" in double 2 1/2" out. Bought a piece of 3" pipe and a 3"clamp, 2 pieces of 2 1/2" pipe with clamps and a couple 2 1/2" to 2 1/4 adaptors. I believe it was four 2 1/2" clamps and two 2 1/4" clamps.

Mines a '12 and the stock pipes are 3" in and 2 1/4" out.

If the inlet and outlet pipe sizes are the same it will fit. You will just have to adjust the pipe length on the inlet or outlet side to make up for the difference in muffler body dimensions...

But aren't the pipe size on these 4th gens 3" diameter?

pick shows what I think to be a super 10 and a extension pipe infront of it to fit the flowmaster

I don't know what they are on a 6.4 2500. On my 1500 it's 3" in and 2 1/4" out.

3.5 pipe looks correct , I guess it's just so new it hasn't been tried yet , can't even find a review
