I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9 ,rear frost plug was blown out on the driver side. Do I have to pull the engine or anything else to replace this or can it be done without removing any major parts?

It is possible to replace the plug if you have the room to work. That looks tight to try and punch one in there.
Don't use one of the rubber ones that expand with a bolt. That's easy to install but it won't last.

I used to use a heavy duty screw driver to make the Freeze Plug pivot enough to grab it with a pair of pliers.
f that did not work, i would puncture a hole in it & pry it out, i did not knock the plug into the block, although some ppl did.

The new plug can be knocked into place using Socket from a ratchet set & a hammer.
Otherwise you can use a Freeze plug installation tool
