Has anyone tried sealight s1 leds for low and high beams? Are they brighter than stock halogens or no?

Any LED will be better than halogens.
Trick is to get ones that are CANBUS-safe and fit under the factory dust covers.
I run Cougar Motor 3.0 Gold.

I just installed the Sealight S1's. Seem like good bulbs for the money. I haven't been driving enough at night to comment on brightness. They do put out a nice white light though.

Note: I had to do a little modifying to get them oriented with the LED's at 3 and 9 o'clock. Wasn't too bad. I took the little screw out that holds the black ring (with the tabs) on. I installed just the black ring in the housing and marked where 12 o'clock should be. I then drilled and countersunk a new hole in the black ring which rotated the bulb to the correct position and screwed it back in.

I have the Sealight L2. The H11 for my lows were great the 9005 for the highs required modification to clock correctly. If S1 are anything like the L2 you'll like.

I'm interested in upgrading my stock headlights as well. Are the Cougar 3.0 perfect fit with no mods needed? Another thing I'm curious about, how do they stay cool? Even with fans, I would think being in a sealed up enclosure that the heat would build up.

Been running them for a year now with no issues. Can't even hear the tiny fans, and when I switched my lows to HID the covers were fine. No heat problems at all.
