Help 2003 Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins turbo

We are unsure which turbo to buy. Our truck is 5.9L Cummins 24v. So many online have HY35W in the part name...but that is the frame size and not finding the part #4035044 for Holset turbo. On eBay & Amazon sellers say the HY35W will fit 2003 & 04 but when we list the year, model, trim etc...we are told it will not fit our truck. We really don't want to pay $1300-$1800+ from Dodge. Any help? We took the turbo off yesterday and just waiting to buy a new one. We are also calling Holset to see if they will help even if we do not buy directly from them.

Yeah do not buy it from dodge unless you want to pay top dollar. What are the numbers on your turbo?

Do you have any diesel shops nearby? We have a couple here that work on semi's and commercial equipment so they rebuild EVERYTHING and typically they can order parts directly from suppliers bypassing CUMMINS and Mopar getting it alot cheaper. One is an authorized Cummins facility so they can get parts from them and do alot of work on cummins engines
