I have a 2001 cummins 6sp with Dana 80 rear, my nephew recently bought a 1996 2500 gas. I have upgraded my wheels to 17" 3rd gen wheels to allow for 3rd gen front brakes. I gave my nephew my old 16" aluminum wheels and they will not fit over the 1996 brake drums, they are close but will not fit? What is different on the 2001 vs. 1996? Can we buy 2001 brake drums? Are they slightly smaller?
