Looking for a solution (recommendations) for the best way to bring a full (small) auxiliary fuse box back into the cab. (2022 RAM has the fuse box in the engine compartment).

Reason: What I really want, at a minimum is to hook up my web cam, but I don't know where to easily tap into 12V and also an ACC circuit that is only on with Accessory Power, the three wire accessory "kit." Ha- The ground, I have that one figured out.

What I would like to have is advice on what to buy as an Aux Fuse Box to put under the steering wheel. This will help me when adding some other other in cab equipment that needs a dedicated 12V with fuses and such.

In the interim - I did cross my Fuse 91 and 92 so that my Cigarette Lighter and front USB ports are live. Problem is, I don't have a wiring diagram and don't know where those wires run (buried way up in there somewhere).

I already have a AUXBeam unit (with relays) mounted on the firewall for all the Lighting and such. So I am not trying to add a bunch of relays for lights. The control pad is nicely mounted on the kick panel.

Thanks in advance. I'm hoping this will be a good discussion.

If you have an auxbeam, why not take advantage of that for the in cab stuff too? I have a SwitchPro and ran several wires from the controller into the cab for this.

Note if you are installing a radio transmitter usually they will have specific instructions on wiring and routing power. Often wanting a direct battery connection.

If all you want is a sub fuse panel in cab, get one from Amazon and mount it in a convenient spot and source battery power through the firewall. For a better quality brand I like Blue Sea brand.

Really appreciate the advice.

I'm putting in a Painless Fuse Block (has relay, 3 constant and 4 switched) under the dash.

I plan on pulling the relay switched power from the brake light pedal wiring. It's 3 amp.
Positive will run back through the firewall to the the battery. It comes with an inline fuse.

For all of you "hobbyist" out there.... I know I could have put this together from scratch, cheaper, but considering the cost of wiring and >>>> time, this is a great value to just "get-er done!"

All I have to do now is fabricate a simple metal bracket for mounting/ground. I like cutting and drilling

I am very satisfied with the quality of assembly/workmanship and all of the wires are ----> labeled as well as have more than sufficient length. It actually was more/better than I expected. This will make wiring up my Dash Cam, CB, other in-cab stuff.................... easier.

Well.. not fully wired yet, but the Painless auxiliary fuse block is installed in an awesome location.

This block is the perfect size. LIKE IT WAS MEANT TO GO RIGHT THERE.

No drilling required. Hole was perfect where it existed on the dashboard frame right forward of the center console.

I fabricated the backing plate from a simple piece of 24 Guage plate. Used a big wing nut on the mounting bolt for ease of removal for access back past it in the future. Back past meaning to under center dash past the ignition button.

As with everything in life........... everything takes time. Have to balance the work/wife/world and find time for ---->>> Truck Time

Finally got my 10 AWG positive (to the battery, via a 50 amp fuse) run through the firewall. Now let the fun begin in the under the dash wiring to the CB / GMRS radios, Dash Cam and stuff!

Any idea which fuse to tap for an LED strip light that will come on with ACC/RUN? Typically there is an aux fuse but in my 2024 Rebel I don’t see one.
