Kentucky Derby Edition

When I was looking to find my Limited I searched everywhere for the Kentucky Derby Edition. Had absolutely no luck. Went to the dealership a few months back. Turns out they discontinued the decals a few months prior. Found a mopar site online that happen to have them. I was iffy because the pricing was crazy. $80 for the left $17 for the right and $30 for shipping. Took the change and the arrived just as they should. Got them put on today and man it adds a nice look to the truck. The only difference between the two trucks are just the decals nothing else.

I definitely wish it was more to it than just the decals. However if there was more to it then I’d probably have to spend More money. I’ve never seen one in person or for sale. I talked to one gentleman that has one, but he said the original owner removed them. So only the window sticker states it’s that edition

You're not wrong. But they could have made so much more if they'd included special equipment themed around the race. The fact that you could buy the decals and add them to any truck diminishes the value of the 2000 legit KD trucks IMO. Many people buy special edition vehicles in anticipation of what they'll be worth later on.

I think the logo could have been designed a little better, but, just my opinion

so many to choose from....i guess every year you would have to change them:

One of the absolute laziest Derby tie-in products, and there's a lot out there.

is that why they added this brown to the inside of this 1500 Limited? I was seriously thinking of trading in for this, but, my CFO (wife) didn't like the brown seats

Well,you could have bought it and I could have traded some almost nice black seats to you, but the drive would be a bit much
I bought a new truck one time because it didn’t have black seats, everything was a tan .
The cfo was at home.

From what I read only the 2500 got the brown interior. The 1500 only got the decals. Now that I’m looking into it I’m unsure if I got the correct decals. All the trucks I’m seeing say Kentucky in White I got them in black.

I bought my 2019 1500 Limited used in 2020. It needed a bit of body work and I didn't like the Kentucky Derby decals so I had them removed. It just seemed like a pointless graphic that detracted from the truck.
