Hey guys, so in an effort to make things a little easier on my paint, I'm thinking of putting some mudflaps on my truck. I found these I really like

https://www.sharptruck.com/gatorbac...ud-flaps-14-wide-black-powder-coated-brackets

It's a 2016 2500 6.5" lift, 37x13.50r20 on 20x10 -18 offset and Bush Wacker fender flares These look like they'll easily cleanly mount to the fender flares and not have a bunch of extra material.

I looked at a couple other brands but they don't look like as clean of installs although I'd love to not spend 300 per pair

Those would look good as long as you have fender flares also.

I do! I have Bush Wacker fender flares. I'm just trying to find a set that's just as nice and not $510 for a set of four

If you go with these, I suggest going and getting some stainless machine screws, washes and stainless nylock nuts to attach.
The large 1/4 inch sheet metal bolts that they supply to go thru the thin sheet metal wheel well lip, the lip will not last long.

I have the 12" wide set on my 1500 - they are one heavy piece of rubber!

They are a quality piece, I swear about 5# each though.

The rears are actually pretty centered on the tire, it's hard to tell from the angle that I took the picture.
Tires are a 275/60/20 on a 9" wide wheel for reference.

I went with HuskyLiners Long John 15" wide mud flaps. It has a longer side wing you can bring up your fender flare to catch the extra crap that sprays your taillights and doors. It help keeps my truck way cleaner.
I live on dirt roads and drive them a lot on the weekends. You can see I really only get the dirty mist residue from wet highways. All the heavy stuff gets blocked by the flaps. I also went 15" wide to make sure I cover the entire width of the tire. Figured i could trim them if they were too wide.
I'm super happy with them and they were a 30 minute install (all 4).

I Drilled 2 holes in the Mud Flap for existing screws in the fender flare. Then used some short sheet metal screws (not self tapping with the drill bit end, just pointy) to mount the rest of the flap to the fender flare.
They are a solid buy and I recommend them. You can trim them easily too if you want them to fit the body lines better. Mine are currently un-altered but I may trim back the top lip so it is more gradual instead of a thick rounded end.

DuraFlap has great mud flaps and the set back design for the front is pre-drilled. The poly material does not fly or tear2019 Dodge Rebel 1500 LFT front.JPG 2019 Dodge Rebel 1500 LFT front custom shift rear 13in wide.JPG like rubber does.

Hello mudflaps!

This is a combination of a long john mudflap and a heavy duty 12" x 23" rubber mudflap from Cdntire. If you use straight long john mudflaps in negative winter weather they end up cracking when rocks or other road debris hits them...also helps keep the 5.0 off my back about a lifted truck with big tires haha.

Cheers!

Gatorbacks. Have had them for a year now and very pleased. Definitely have saved some flying debris from causing damage :waytogo:

That's a 6" lift right? What size wheels & tires are you running and what is your offset? I haven't purchased them yet but am planning on getting the pocket-style Bushwacker fender flares thinking they'll come very close to covering the tire and yours looks very close.

This is a 2017 ram 1500, I am running a 6" suspension and a 3" body lift. Tires/wheel combo is 37x13x20 on a 20x12 with a offset of -44. These flares are for a ram 3500 which IMO look better than the flares designed for a 1500. I think just the front flares are actually different.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Did you have any issues with fitment? And, what is the real difference between them? I'll go pull them up on the BW site to try to compare myseslf but am sure you already know exactly what the difference is.....

Hey,

Fitment was perfect! The big difference between 1500 flares and 3500 flares is the front set of flares. 1500 flares go further down the front fender, 3500 flares stop at the headlight..I just like how the 3500 flares look better. Just Google 1500 flares and then 3500 flares and you'll see the difference.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
