Need some help. Bought a ram 2500 from a family friend (the original owner) 8 months ago after her husband passed.
Around 2 months ago, got the Red Lightning Bolt (Service Electronic Throttle Control). When a diagnostic was ran, P2181 – Cooling System Performance came up. Mechanic replaced the Thermostat. CEC light came back on within a day. Same Code. Took back in, mechanic said there was air bubbles in radiator line, he flushed the air bubbles. 1 week later, CEC light came back on. Codes read P3449 – Cylinder 7 Deactivation Control Circuit, and P3441 – Cylinder 6 Deactivation Control Circuit. Took to mechanic, he put a wiring harness on order, but told me I was good to drive it around in the meantime. Since then (wiring harness not installed yet), codes P04D1 – EGR, P0128 – Low Coolant Temp, P040B – EGR Temp, and P219A – Bank 1 Air/Fuel Ratio Imbalance have came up.
Any thoughts? Through personal research, I have read that voltage/short issues can cause a couple of the codes. Does this sound plausible? Has anyone had an experience with anything similar?
