I bought Westin 4" Platinum Ovals from AutoAnything. They stick out just enough to be useful and are very sturdy. I think I paid $250 or $260 for them.

I really like them. I'd recommend the 4" ovals.

My stepdad has 3" bars on his F150, and they help getting in, but are useless when getting out of the truck. They sit too close to the body of the truck and it makes it awkward when exiting. I've slipped off of his several times getting out, 'cause you barely catch it with your heel, and then slip off.

I think I will wait until SEMA, walk around see if anything is new, then get the Westins if nothing else beats them. They look awesome.
