New tails and 3rd/cargo

Just installed my new "C" bar tails and 3rd brake light/cargo. Liking the new Venom Inc tails but the 3rd light kinda sucks. Granted, it is during the daytime but still I think it should be brighter than what it is. Probably going to return, especially if the cargo light doesn't do the job. Shame because I liked matching the tails with the bar style 3rd.

I do too, so I am hoping it looks much brighter at dark, cargo as well. It appears to be half as bright as it should be.

Is it Venom too? I dont see that style. Maybe you got a dud? You could also always replace the LEDs yourself to a brighter one.

No, it's DNA Motoring. Just the tails are Venom. I guess I could look into replacing the LEDs...I don't know. Have to think about that I guess.

If you do replace the LEDs look up Boosted Motorsports on YouTube (also a member here). He's got great vids with links to *cheap* replacement LEDs for just about the whole vehicle.

If all else fails, put in some bed lights!

Bed lights are on the list to be done anyway. Every since putting the Revolver on the bed it's impossible to see at night.

I suggest you check out these led tail lights. They are way cheaper, and come with led reverse lights. I have them on my ram and am very happy with them. They also make them with the "C" if you like that. Can get them with smoke look or clear.

I checked out DT Moto before I bought these. I did not see the led reverse option with the red and c bar. They did have a c bar option but don't think it was as tall (total height) as the c bar from Venom?? I'm quite happy with the Venom tails for now. Definitely a step up from stock.

Those look nice, just sucks they do not have led reverse lights. The stock halogen reverse lights are a joke. I am more than happy with my led reverse lights. Very bright.

Completely agree with you on the stock halogen reverse lights being a joke. I changed those out a while back with the ones in the link below. No error codes and plenty bright.

Well, if you wanted to light up the bed with that cargo light, then just keep the 3rd brake light if you are happy with it's aesthetics. Bed lights will make that cargo light obsolete!

Ok, so I think I am going to keep the 3rd brake light. Yes, I wish it was more noticeable in the daylight but as you can see in the pics, the night shots are pretty good. Also, the cargo lights while aren't exactly the brightest I have seen are pretty adequate for something I will not be using too much.

All in all, pretty pleased with my purchase! Now, onto the front lighting..

Sorry I didn't see this until now. Was on my honeymoon. Here is a link to the ones I have and take note that I had an Express without factory leds. If you do have leds from factory they also have an option for that as well.
