I would tend to disagree, I have one on mine with a hemifever tune and I may or may not have felt anything.

Re gearing is a mixed bag of sorts.. I mean if Im having trouble pulling 5th gear while towing my trailer, It gears down to 4th.. and I can pull 65ish around 2300 rpm or so, or in extreme cases 3rd at about 3500 rpm or so pulling at 65-68 mph.. So I regear and then im pulling 5th gear at 2500, instead of 4th gear at the same speed.. sure is MUCH cheaper to just downshift to 4th..
The big place a gear swap would help with these rigs is on take off.. someone could get rich if they came up with a different internal ratio gear set for the tranny ..problem solved.

Depends on the scenario.... with my 6.4 a gear swap would help mds stay active longer and it may even hold 6th longer and that’s not even towing.
