Been a while since I was here, hopefully someone can give me some insight?

'99 1500 5.2 5spd

After sitting for more than fiveish days, especially if its cold, engine will turn over and start, but dies after 3-5 seconds unless I keep my foot lightly on the accelerator. It's also running rich and fails emissions testing at idle but passes at 2500rpm. After about a minute under light throttle, it will idle fine.

I have recently done plugs wires rotor cap and air filter. It made no change to the condition.

Any thoughts?

Also get a new pcv valve. That plays into how it idles.

For anyone interested, I changed the PCV valve and changed the oil (was WAAAAAAY low). Idling better, will find out soon if it helped with emissions values.
