RP 20-500

Hey everyone. Can’t get the infamous 20-820 and I thought I read somewhere that you can use the 20-500 instead. Can someone please confirm that. The compatibility charts don’t show it to fit but that doesn’t always mean anything.

Sorry. Just realized I put this in the wrong spot. Have a 2018 Ram 1500 5.7 and was looking for the 4th gen spot.

The 20-500 will fit on the 5.7hemi and works well

I just put a 20-500 on my 18 Rebel 5.7, and it does NOT actually fit right. Because of where Dodge put the 4x4 front transmission (So a 4x2 should be 100% fine.). There is actually not enough room to really move the filter into/out of the filter spot. It is the correct contact/thread, but too tall to actually fit the gap. I had to finagle the filter into place, and basically take advantage of the threads fitting into the hole for the threads to get the filter to even line up, and still had to force the first turn or 2, as it was pinned between the threads, and the transmission.

You have a 2011 and I have a 2012. Its not the same at all. We dont have those POS electric steering racks in our way ...
