I have 35x12.5r17 ridge grapplers in my 14 ram. I'm going to be doing more surf fishing this year on the delaware beaches. What tire pressure would be recommended on the beach? This isn't the hard packed stuff you often find in some southern states, but also not the worst stuff. Air is available and I'll have a compressor so I can get back up to pressure after. They charge $500 to pull your butt out, so trying to not let that happen.

i would take those things down to like 20Psi if you know the sand is soft, rather than packed down.

Do you have traction ramps? these would be a good investment if you do any type of off roading.

A sand anchor would also be ideal... If you have a winch.

I do not have a winch. I will be carrying several things with me: tow strap, jack and likely ramps. My truck has the aesthetic front bumper so no factory hooks. I was thinking of putting a front receiver on for a hook if needed not to mention a rod and cooler carrier.

Maybe add a shovel in there! lol. the whole point is we dont want to use straps. because that means you are stuck, and you need help to get out... so $500 big ones.

Your best friends in this situation will be traction ramps, and a shovel.

Right! shovel was supposed to be on that list already, good catch. That said its free to have friend pull you out $500 if the DNR officers have to lol

Ahh ok. If you have friends going with you. Then you should be good to go.

I dont know how much you know about off road (I honestly just started, so dont take offence)... But tow straps are no good for if you get stuck.. You need recovery straps.

Tow straps are tough, and dont have any stretch/play in them.

Recovery straps are more elastic, and stretch. so they store some of the energy from the vehicle pulling you out so aid in the recovery.

My off roading consists mostly of trails to our hunting camp, which is hardly off roading. The beach will be the most. I appreciate the info. I'll take a look at the right straps.

15psi. Carry shovel and traction boards. I bought 4 recently haven't used them yet.

Plus i also have a bag with straps and other misc. I don't have a winch for now but i go out with basic stuff for an easy recovery just in case while on the trails.

I helped this dude with my own recovery gear, which in this case was just a hitch with a couple of schackles and kinetic rope.
