I had JBA shorty headers installed yesterday, Remflex Gaskets, and the ARP SST hardware to put it together. This morning I started it up and got a check engine light, I was looking around the engine to see if anything might have got missed and found this tube under the brake booster on the driver side with nothing connected... I've driven it a few miles now and nothing appears to be leaking from it. Can anyone please tell me what this tube is and if they left a hose off?

The end looks clean like there was a hose attached.

A flashlight and a camera may help to see the tight spots , allowing you to find the missing hose.

If you locate a diagram in a parts breakdown, it may show what’s supposed to be there.

On my 12' that tube goes into the bottom of a valve underneath the battery. Another tube runs from the same valve up under the engine cover to the throttle body area behind the air intake (best I could tell). The part number tag is still on my tube believe it or not 55398338AB. Looking up the number it looks like that valve is a purge valve.

Brought it back in and the tech immediately knew what he forgot. First pic is of the hose installed on the tube from my initial post, second pic is where that hose lands with the blue connector, still not sure what it is but that part it's on is right under the battery. The mechanic called it an evap hose... he said he removed it and set it aside in the engine compartment and forgot to reattach but was hoping it might still be sitting in there, sure wasn't but they got it replaced and no more check engine light. Thank you for your replies!
