2021 Classic 5.7 HEMI 4WD: Drawing up on 3rd Anniversary of Sam Leman's fixing my truck for good. Had an issue with starting throwing a MIL and DTC, something about energizing driveline. This knocked out 4WD. Happened most in hotter weather.
Factory did not adequately tighten ground strap bolt to crankcase, so starter actually grounded out through bell housing and the tranny. Since tightened, all is well.
I bought the factory repair manual on that USB drive. No wiring diagrams. No pictures. Ground bolt is tough to see with front driveshaft & starter blocking it. Over $100 and still not getting the stuff you got with a Clymer's.
Because it's a beach to see and tighten, maybe have the mechanic check for this after starter replacement.
