Stellantis Recalls Nearly 34,000 Ram 1500 Vehicles: 3rd Such Recall In October

Chrysler parent Stellantis NV (NYSE:STLA) is recalling 33,777 Ram 1500 vehicles in the U.S., auto safety regulator National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Wednesday.

What Happened: The recall includes model year 2025 Ram 1500 vehicles in which the front wheel hub encoder rings may be damaged, which can disable the electronic stability control system.

Failure of the electronic stability control system can cause a vehicle to crash without warning, the auto safety regulator noted.

As for a solution, dealers will inspect and replace the front wheel bearing hub assembly as required, at no cost to the customer.

Why It Matters: This is the third recall involving a larger number of Ram 1500 vehicles since the start of this month.

In mid-October, Stellantis recalled 31,676 model year 2020-2023 Ram 1500 Classic vehicles owing to concerns that the mirror glass may detach from the driver's side heated trailer tow rearview mirror.

To the start of October, Stellantis also recalled 129,313 Ram 1500 vehicles saying that the turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly.
