I had Gibsons on my Denali and SRT -10.I ended up switching to Bassani`s on both.I found the Bassani`s to be of much higher quality, better fit and finish .Lot`s more $$ but worth it IMO.

If they are the log style stay away from them, they will be no better than what are on there now. The stock exhaust manifolds are log style, if anything you may gain a hp and a tq and it might keep tems a little lower, but nothing noticeable. Look at shorties or mids if you can't do long tubes. Climb under the truck and look what's there now, then look at those, they are basically a stock replacement.

I was just about to type in exactly what Ryan said.

Sadly, there are no smog legal mids for the 06+. Your only choice is shorties like edelbrock or bbk.

All good advise there, George how are your edelbrock headers holding up to the road salt up your way?

Mine have a little rust on them, but I four wheel on the beach and the salt gets sprayed up on them.

There are some good shorties out there that will put out some good numbers, catch is getting the carb stamp if you need it. JBL. BBK. edelbrock TES, should all have them.

Why cant you use Mids off the 03-05's? should be the same fitment

Just did a quick search. I think as long as I don't lose the cats and it passes the sniffer test I will be good. We don't require darn stamp, not that I could find.

What makes them carb legal, keeping the cats?

First and foremost, they have to have the CARB (California Air Resouces Board) stamp. Second, they can't move the cats (i.e. the cats stay in the stock location). This is all assuming you need a CARB stamp....
