what years 5.9 are interchangeable with my 2002 ram sport 2500?

hey,new to this forum i picked up a nice looking 2002 ram sport 2500 5.9 truck 1st off is this a rare'er truck? unforutountly i gave 1500 bucks for it has 98k miles engine is locked dip stick is stuck. he said it ran hot..i found a 5.9 from a 2000 durango..is this a clean engine swap? please any suggestions tips and specific years of motors that will interchange will be very very help ful as this is my first 5.9 im pretty familar with the 4.7 i was thinking as far as working on the 5.9 should be easyier...

I am pretty sure that's gonna be a clean swap for you.

I know in 01 or 02 they changed the harmonic balancer but i don't think that will affect anything as far as swappage
