Ok so since there are a few separate threads out there as of now on the different options, I wanted to get my info into it's own thread as to not totally flood mikes eibach thread.
Some of you may know and some may not, but I initially had purchased the full eibach kit on black Friday. Even though the parts are separately available the full lift kit was pushed into back order until March. Unacceptable in my opinion for a small upgrade from oem parts. 4 month lead times are longer than it takes for custom built things.
Fast forward, I had been doin my normal read through around the interweb and came across a few sets of 6112s available. I double checked with the company and to my surprise they were in fact in stock. So I jumped on them as they were originally my first choice. Cancelled my order on the eibach and decided I'd be the one to try the new bilstein springs paired with 5100s out back.
Big shout out to Nick at got exhaust, we've been goin back and forth for a while now on things and he's helped at ton.
My goal was to level the truck and refine the already good ride these trucks have on road. I live on the east coast so longevity and reliability are my biggest factors, especially with the corrosive winters here. I've run fancy king and fox setups in the past and honestly it was just overkill and way too high maintenance for what I wanted to achieve. Off road out here is primarily 4lo crawling around or super short spirited stints so I don't need the high speed desert setup. Just a nice compliant, yet firmer highway ride and some capability off road. Shouldn't look too much different from my current setup but should handle much better than the current worn out oem stuff.
Once I get the parts in hand I'll take preliminary measurements of all the parts as well as comparisons before and after install on my truck.
Can't wait to remove the spacer junk!
Current setup:
Spacers up front stock everywhere else
285/70/17
Pics are of the current setup
Future setup:
6112s set to 2.3" front
Bilstein 36-286539 rear coils 1" rear lift
Bilstein 5100 0-1" lift shocks.
