...after everyone tries to be unique, they become all the same...
i personally think delmonico red is one of the nicest colors, not a raw steak, but everyone sees thing diff. but anyway, u bought a new truck, took it home and had it painted? My 2016 Ram Big Horn was a factory order
When i first saw it, it looked like a raw New York Steak, that they call Delmonico Red, the damn thing is Maroon not Red.
I first saw it when it was at the dealership in the Prep Shop
I was so irritated that a couple weeks later, i made a few changes
I drove it home & parked it in front of the garage
Then i drove it to the Local Line-X shop & had the bed sprayed.
Then i drove it home & loaded up a few things
A few days later, the Ram looked like this
A couple of days later
Yes, you guessed it, i debadged it
cool! needed that extra savings for a complete paint job.Yes i had it repainted, had Sport Bumpers put on it, changed the grille inserts & added tow hooks
When i ordered the Ram, no one had seen what Delmonico Red looked like, it was not in any books that the dealer had. I just saw the word Red, it should have said Maroon
They would not let anyone order Sport Bumpers on an Ecodiesel either.
I got a great deal when i bought the Ram, 1% below dealer invoice i think, Friends & Family Plan
yep. heard of them. thats pretty neat! always good to have a quality bodyman/painter on hand.Yes the paint job cost a bit more than $7,000
The guy that painted it is good, he often flies up to Los Angeles to do special jobs for West Coast Customs, you may have heard of them from the TV show

typical situation. almost as bad as a business owner that worked their whole life to build it, retire, kids take over, goes belly up.I had an excellent shop I used, but the owner passed away. His widow sold the shop and the new owner destroyed it.

Kids take over and hire someone else to run it and they are off spending the money until there is no more money. I have seen that so many times. You have that original owner who never took a day off and the kids who never worked a day lol.typical situation. almost as bad as a business owner that worked their whole life to build it, retire, kids take over, goes belly up.
hey make sure you poat some before/after pics.I’m debadging mine sometime in the next couple of months.
I decided to put black badges back on mine (delmonico red) it looks good with the black ones instead of the chrome badges.
I will probably get it paint corrected and ceramic coated before I put the black badges on
I like this, someone that is doing a real ceramic coating. It's pretty easy to tell the difference. When the paint is being corrected and perfected prior to the coating your getting the real deal. Because once its done, there is no going back to buff out scratches, ever.I’m debadging mine sometime in the next couple of months.
