Is there air from the vents on the driver's side, or are you just getting nothing?Passenger side has heat drive side does not . Flushed heater core and new thermostat. What could my issue be ????
Blend door actuators are the most common reason for the vents to blow cold air on one side and hot air on the other. Not uncommon. Is there air from the vents on the driver's side, or are you just getting nothing?
He is getting hot on one side and not hot on the other. A heater core issue would affect both sides of the vent system. This seems to be more of an actuator motor problem. If the truck doesn't have the dual climate control and flushing the heater core didn't work you'll need to replace the heater core. Some people have had luck back flushing the heater core along with using CLR.
This is quite the well documented problem on the forum where the heat is lacking on the driver's side from a plugged heater core. Many posts with this exact problem and it's the heater core.He is getting hot on one side and not hot on the other. A heater core issue would affect both sides of the vent system. Even the dual zone trucks only have one heater core but two blend doors. If you have dual zone there is 2 heater cores. Did you flush the right one?
How would a plugged single heater core affect only one side of the vent system? This is quite the well documented problem on the forum where the heat is lacking on the driver's side from a plugged heater core. Many posts with this exact problem and it's the heater core.

This is exactly how it works. Flush my heater core every fall now.The plenum is split down the middle with a baffle, the bottom 1/2 of the core goes to the driver's side, the upper half to the pass side. The bottom starts to clog first, hence low heat to one side only.
