Greetings,
This is my first post here, so please pardon me if I'm posting in the wrong area. I have a 1984 Dodge D150 Stepside with a 225 Slant Six. We have developed a fuel injection manifold for the truck and have just installed it.
We only have a few hours on the tune. The setup is as follows:
6 24# Fuel Injectors.
A Jeep Throttle Body with IAC.
36-1 Trigger Wheel.
EDIS 6 Computer and Coil Pack.
A833 Overdrive.
Our custom intake manifold that we are hoping to sell after preliminary tests.
As of now we have been averaging 21-23 MPG with rolling Tennessee hills in 4th gear at 65-70 MPH.
The average MPG in 3rd gear at 40-45 MPH is 23-26 with rolling Tennessee hills.
On flat roads in the valleys we have seen peaks of 32 MPG and constants of 28 MPG again, this is 3rd gear between 40 and 45 MPH.
This engine is very worn out, it consumes 1 quart of oil for every 30+ miles (depends on RPM). The truck has 96,000 on it, but appears to have rolled over once.
I hope you guys enjoy seeing this build and I'll attach some pictures of our fabrication below. We have a revised version of this manifold in production (better injector angle and completely CNC machined instead of hand machined.).
