Installed lights worked fine till now drivers side went out and wont come back on. We've gotten alot of rain yesterday and today. Could water have done something to the connections.Help

Check a few things.....

First things first - when you installed, did you use dielectric grease on the connections?

Check grounds, make sure nothing shimmied loose. Check the capacitor - is it sitting where water can flow into it and onto the connectors? If so, pack that with grease too, then flip it so water can't pool there.

I believe he's running Retro-Solutions 55W kit. :D

Water typically isn't an issue, unless it gets deep and corrodes stuff, but I don't think he's had them on long enough for that to happen.

The confusing part is that it is 1, not both. And, the trigger is from the driver's side, so if the pass is coming on, the driver's connection is good (well, at the connector anyway).

Typically the connectors at the ballast and bulbs don't wiggle loose, but the the crimped ends sometimes can work loose - typically the grounds.........

try it with the other ballast? You can't really tell by looking at the bulb.

But if you try it with the other ballast, and it fires.........well, not a bulb then. :D if that happens, try the ballast with the other side's bulb and go from there. :D

That was next test just changing ballast but man now i got cut all my ties to them.
Would just swapping Lights do the same or do i take a chance on screwing it up more.
Maybe awhile before I get back I'm at work and the foreman giving me the evil eye.

Switch lights same thing wont come on,but looked at capacitor and it looks like the red wire is exposed so possible that water got on it and did something.
Then why would only one light work if that was the problem seems like none would work.

Ok took the HID's out and put my Hal's back in. To dark to work on and sealed all my connections to HID's. Will work on them tomorrow and see if I can figure what's going on.
Very strange work last nite got home they went off then this afternoon only the passenger side came on.

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense either.

Best bet now man - get ahold of Todd - [email protected] and let him know what all you've done and he'll get you squared away!

Ok may have found the problem what do you think?
Picture1 Good one
Picture2 Bad one
If you notice the difference one is cracked the other is ok also the milky white in the middle and the bottom of the bad bulb. So my problem is the bulb popped.
