I set my bags at 5 psi unloaded and I can't tell the difference between stock ride or with the Air Lift 1000's, at least in any negative way. I ran them at 35 psi the first couple of days just to make sure they were holding air. The 35 psi unloaded was considerably more bouncy, especially going over speed bumps and alike. But, I can only imagine it's going to help tremendously once I load my truck. It's going to be about another month or two before I can put them to the real test.
I did also install some Bilstein 4600 HD's on the rear of my truck, along with a pair of heavy duty variable coils from TufTruck (1223-V). I will say the new coils seem to weigh about double what the stock coils do.
All in all, with the mods I made, I think the truck rides just as nice, if not better now. Plus, I've helped with the rear sag when hauling/towing. Win/win for me.
Oh, I did have the truck shop install the Wireless One system, too. It's pretty cool being able to remotely change the psi's in the bags and not have to worry about getting a compressor out or locating one at a gas station. Now, hopefully it holds up for the life of the truck....lol.
