Went down to the Ozarks today and bought a new Wave runner, Yamaha EX .
Broke the 1000 mile mark finally and was real happy to have my average mpg to be setting on 16mpg after the + 400 mile round trip, truck pulled it with ease of course since its not alot of weight..
Pulled it down with one wave runner and back with 2. nice little break in for it I thought.
Going to New Haven Connecticut the end of May and will be pulling my 6x12 enclosed to move my daughter back from Yale. Did this 2 years ago with my 6.7 2500 and it got 15mpg going out so I am real curious what the hemi will get on the same trip out hauling about the same weight.
Hopefully I will have my TTC in by then so its not squatten to bad and my topper on to help block the air off the front of the trailer.

Big enemy is wind drag. Your topper will probably improve that a bit. I used to tow a Hi-Lo collapsible trailer, and my mileage was much better with that than what I tow now.

Depending on your trailer weight and how you load it, I wouldn't even worry about squat with the 4x4. I rented a Uhaul 6x12 with my 11' Outdoorsman. Trailer was probably around 4500, plus another 600ish in the truck. Was perfectly level, and got 13 mpg (hand calculated) MI to FL. I bet the 8 speed can eke out another .5-1 mpg. Rode great, and even my wife had no issues driving it.

If I end up loaded like I was going out every square inch of my back seat, bed and trailer will be full.
When I took her out my 2500 was squatten 2" atleast.
It will be interesting to see what the fuel mileage ends up being, if it gets 13mpg or so like yours did I will be very happy with my switch to a 1500 gas truck.

I wish I would have checked the mileage on the Cummins with it empty as well so I could have had that number to compare to as well, but we drove straight through on the way home 21hrs and did not feel like messing with it.

10mpg would not surprise me though..lol
