Difference in hitch between 03 1500 and 2011 1500

Is there a difference between the hitch mounting on an 03 1500 and my 2011 1500. I have read that you can put an 03 on an 11. I have also read that you can't. Just looking for a bit more insight. Looking to put a back blade on for snowplowing. Thanks

Should work Mopar shows the same part number. Some of the 3rd generation 02 models were different.
