Towing 6X12 Enclosed

I am looking into buying a 6x12 enclosed trailer for my upcoming track season. I am trying to figure out if it is worth the extra money. The trailer will probably have about 800 lbs loaded into it. Does anybody tow something similar to this have an est MPG? Will a Leer Topper effect my MPGs towing as well?

2007 Dodge Ram
-4X4
-5.7 Hemi
-3.55 gearing
-Quad Cab

Also is it possible to get the 3.92 factory gearing installed in my stock housing without modification?

I tow a 6' x 12' with my '12 Ram.

I get 12 mpg; regardless of weight in the trailer. I typically have about 800-1000 lbs in it (two 250 quads).

I'm sure the 3.92's would help, but I don't think the 3.55's would be detrimental to towing or to MPG with that light of a load.

Thanks for the response. I will eventually get a LSD and 4.10s installed but I have other mods to do first. I normally put the bike and all my crap in the bed and I can get 17 mpg.

I don't have a covered place to keep all my stuff at night and I am limited on space. Plus if I have a friend who wants to come I can split the gas cost. Now I just have to figure out which model I want.

I think you'd be happy with 3.92 gearing. I've had them in two trucks, a '02 5.9l ram 1500 and an '07 Durango with the hemi. Never felt I needed more gear. More engine in the '02 but not more gear.
