When i shift from park to reverse, or to drive, and even from 1st to 2nd to 3rd, there is a low pitched squeaking/ high pitched creaking sound. It's a 3 speed automatic by the way. It definitely is transmission related, it is not the brakes or engine. It is really hard to describe the noise, but sometimes it will happen when I let the gas off and the revs fall back down, it will sound like a rolling creaking sound. My gears don't seem to slip, and I'm not leaking any fluids. I know it's not much to go by. You could also describe it as the sound you hear when you're inside the hull of a bigger ship, like an older ferry or cargo ship. It's an echoing, creaking sound.
