Does anybody here have much experience with tuning holley 2 barrel carbs? I just got a 4412 500CFM for my 360. I know i have to change the jets on it because of altitude, but anything else? I like at around 5-6000". Carb came with #74 jets, so i was thinking of dropping it to about 70 or 71. What about power valve? should i change that out? or just leave it.

Anything helps.

Thanks

the power valve that is in it should be fine. you could try changing it if you wanted but you need a vacuum gauge to tell you which one you would need.

Yea.. I'm waiting on the Holley-Rochester carb adapter, so I can get anything done yet. I'm going to use a vacuum gauge anyways to adjust the idle mixture.

Hopefully this carb will work with 71 jets. I removed the original carb and it had like 64 jets in it!
