Trucks equipped with the adaptive headlight option do not have cornering lights. Supposedly the ability of the lights to turn 15* negates the need for them. That's what the local RAM dealer told me.

Incorrect. They are two completely different features disassociated with each other that serve different purposes.
All 2019+ 5th gen Ram 1500 Limiteds, Longhorns, and TRX’s are equipped with adaptive headlights (where the LED projector inside the headlight housing swivels left and right based on steering input).
All 2019+ 5th gen Ram 1500’s that are equipped with factory fog lights, regardless of trim level or LED or halogen, have the cornering lamps feature. This is the feature that only uses the fog lamps, and the corresponding lamp comes on based on speed, turn signal status, and steering input, provided that the fog lamps are switched to the off position.

My 2021 PW 75A has both. They serve completely different purposes.

Dealers are well stocked in idiots and liars, especially in the front of the house.

My 2022 Rebel has cornering lights and I love'em. I didn't realize I had them for about three weeks until I drove at night!

My 2021 2500 Laramie had them and my 2023 1500 Big Horn has them. You will only notice them when you either have your fog lights off or when your high beams are on.

My 23 1500 Big Horn has the regular halogen lights, but they are cornering lights, they should call it cornering fog lights. My truck has the fog lights and I replaced these with LED amber ones which I immediately noticed the cornering feature. If you just have the regular low beams (fogs off) on whenever you use a turn signal, or turn the wheel, the fog light will come on in that direction.

I didn't notice this feature because the halogens were terrible, but now when I turn, I can see much better and really like the feature. I thought the replacement fog lights installed were throwing code errors because I never had this feature before, so I asked a Ram mechanic and he confirmed the behavior is cornering lights. Should be called cornering fog lights.

This describes exactly how the "cornering" lamps work on my 2019 Laramie.

My son has a 2017 Laramie with projector lamps. I'll have to ask him how they work.

My 2020 Longhorn has cornering lights ... If you have your fog lamps on it deactivates the corner lights ...

2020 Limited 2500 w/ adaptive headlights and corning lights. All it does is illuminate the fog light while turning. Fogs on and the feature is not active.

They are dead wrong I have one of each. One with adaptive one with cornering. Cornering is much better. Adaptive is only activated at over 8 mph. Who the hell is turning into a driveway at 9 mph?

I don't know if the 1500 is different for some reason, but with the 2500 it works even while you're sitting still. No minimum speed at all.

I confirmed that my 23 Limited has both the adaptive projector headlights and the cornering lights feature which I didn't notice until I shutoff my fog lights.
