Yeah you can say she's stuck alright.

On a different note. What kind of steps do you have Tex?

Yessir, I'd not argue you on that one. That's stuck. Squish.

Sweet. I was hoping that was them. How low do they hang below the cab. My dad is wanting those same steps.

It's hard to tell from the pic. But it looks like 6-8".

Here is a better pic of how low they hang (when she isn't stuck).

I would prefer not to have any steps since I am more than tall enough to get in the truck without them, but the wife complained about the height of the truck without them so I got them as a "gift" for Christmas two years ago. I guess my wife did not like my joking response of "It keeps the short and fat girls out of my truck so make sure you don't get that way." when she asked me if I was getting steps.

Thanks a lot. I'll show him this picture tomorrow. It will help him make his mind up.

With what you have to deal with, I'd recommend keeping a set of 4 of the above ratchet strapped to the side of your bed.

as nice as it would be to have those, for some reason it it so hard for me to spend 300 on 2 plastic boards lol

ST, how'd you yank her out? I'd guess a tractor of some sort?

True, they are frightfully expensive, but the material they are made of is worth it. They will not snap. You can use them as ramps to get over obstacles, stack a few together and turn them upside down and use as a hi lift jack base, a shovel, etc etc. About the only downside is you can't spin your tires on them too much or you can melt the knobs down.

Still working on that. The ground is so sloppy at that spot the tractor almost got stuck trying to get it out. Going to try and get her out today with a longer tow rope so an place the tractor on more solid ground to gather traction.

Yeah, those would be nice to keep in the truck. Mainly for when I go to the deer lease since that is 130 miles away and I don't have tractor down there to get me out if I get stuck.

Now, if you had the 6.4 instead of the nose heavy Cummins it wouldn't have gotten stuck :)

j/k! Good luck getting it out and send pictures of the tractor it takes to do it.

Will do. Unfortunately this isn't the property I have my big John Deere 4430. That thing would have gotten it out no problems. There is only an old Ford 3500 tractor at this property.

Ahh the good ol' 4430. John Deere's flagship tractor back in the 70's. Every farmer that had a decent amount of land had one of those when I was a kid back in Iowa.

Not to hijack the thread, but i really liked the look of the N-Fab but wasn't a fan of how most all steps in general hang from the sheet metal of the body.

My father installed a set of Tough Country steps on his dually as they were one of the few he found that had a flare out for the duals. Once i seen them and picked up on the fact they hang from the body mounts of the frame you better believe i ordered a set for mine...
