It is loud and deep on a cold start, until it idles down. As far as interior sound, it is quite tame- I know it's hard to believe. Highway speeds are easy on the ears and you don't have to turn your music up any louder than usual. Under mild acceleration, she growls deep! My wife compares the exhaust note with my 3v 4.6 v8 mustang. Without the cats, it's way too loud. It's a great mod for these trucks. IMO, cat back bolt-on are way to pricey for what you get. I installed the LT's , the 2.5" y pipe, deleted the muffler, used a magnaflow y as a splitter to the stock 2 1/4" piping and resonators. No loss of low end power! Gained power throughout the entire rpm range. My set-up is NOT true duals. IMO, true duals with LT's is overkill on a stock motor.
