I have a 2010 Laramie with 113k miles and recently started having an issue with what I think is the transmission.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a rumble at low RPMs when driving, I thought is was when it would go into eco mode but sometimes it happened without being in eco mode.

Today I started it and the 4wd indicator was on, but the selector was in 2wd. I moved it from 2 to 4 and back and the light went off so I didn't think anything of it.

Then about 20 minutes later while driving down the road the transmission just disengaged while driving down the road. RPMs shot up and I had no power, so I pulled over turned it off and then I noticed the red neutral light was on under the 4wd dial.

I followed the procedure to get it back engaged and was able to drive.

Turned the vehicle off, ran into store. Back out 5 minutes later, start engine and 4wd indicator light is back on with red neural light. Redid the procedure to re engage and was able to drive home.

I never had any problems with the vehicle before, it is finally paid off and was planning to go a few years without a payment.

Anyone have any thoughts or had similar experiences?

Thanks....
