brake pedal side to side play

2013 ram 1500, 34k miles. Im having problems with the brake pedal moving sideways about a half inch or so in each direction. The shaft that comes out of the brake booster and connects to the brake arm also has visual play in it. The brakes work fine, but noise has become bothersome. Anybody have any experience with this? Thanks!

I definitely wouldn't drive it like that...get to a repair shop ASAP.

Not 100% sure if its the issue but there is a little plastic bushing that is probably worn out or broken.
