I'd say there is a difference. Oh and NO YOU DO NOT need to take off the grille on the 2016 IF you have an extension for your socket wrench. The long one. I was starting to and the. Realized oh **** I can reach it.
Took my time. 2hrs with tucking the wires and making it all look clean.

HID low beam and fog lamps at night
Really lit up the road even without the fogs under all circumstances I normally drive in.
Well worth the upgrade.
