My dealer has a contract with the Line-X dealer here in town and they did my truck before I picked it up as I worked it in on the deal. I was told they also do some "in house" bedliner but I don't know.

Yup, but any Line-X dealer will tell you to stay with black. The colors fade, no matter what they tell you... and they know that..

Red turns to pink, looks really cool 2-3 years down the road! :) *NOT

I had the bed on my 07 color matched. Everywhere that was exposed outside of the shell turned pink after a few years. It might look ok on a ford with pink camo seat covers and triple blade wipers. If you're into that look....

Line-X is not indestructible. I bought the truck like this used. Their "lifetime warrany" only applies to the original purchaser of the liner(keep your receipt because without it you're SOL). Even though the "warranty tag" is still in place, the warranty is voided simply because the truck was sold. The Line-X dealer I spoke with said they can repair the damage cheaper than a full new install but I still won't have any warranty. One heck of a way to get out of having to stand behind your product IMO. :flipthebird:

It sure is destructible..... The edge on my tailgate is beat to ****.
Had it fixed once already. Ready to go back to get it done before the winter.

I had similar problems. My old truck had Line-X and big chunks came out when I tossed firewood and other harder items in the bed. Sure I had a warranty (maybe not though, because I didn't keep my receipt, wasn't told I had too...), but then I have to drive it an hour away, wait for it and drive back. Not worth my time.

I've get a BedTred Pro on my Ram that looks like spray in, without the fading, without the abrasiveness, without the fading from UV and with an actual usable warranty. Oh yea, for about 65% of the cost too...

Like a lot of finish materials... It's only as good as the prep work.

I've seen Line-X come off in sheets, but it's typically on a truck that had it applied long after the truck was new, which tells me their was a spill of some sort, that wasn't properly degreased, scuffed etc.....

I had a line-x on an F350 I used to have and got a bag of cement spilled and dried inside the bed. Had to use a sledgehammer to break it up and get the smaller parts out with a hammer and chisel. Line-x didn't get any damage to it though. So I got another one when I had my last Ram, didn't have any mishaps with it, but it got used pretty good and looked like new when I traded that one in about 4 years later. Maybe I got lucky, but nothing but good results for me with Line-x so far.

I have a good sized dent in my tailgate from a motorcycle that would disagree with this video...

Don't get me wrong, it's durable as hell, but it's still just metal underneath.

Any one tried Bullet Liner? It is half the price, supposed to be better and from the original creator of Line-X. Thinking about getting my truck sprayed with it.
