Remote Start

I remotely started my truck as I was walking towards it and within a few seconds of starting it it just turned off? I tried restarting but did not get a click? What could be wrong.?

Many things. Low on fuel, error codes, etc. Open doors, close doors, reset alarm and try again

Is the gas light on? Check engine light? Also if you start it then stop it with the remote it will require you to physically start it to reset it. Then it should work

I've been using this a lot lately and noticed it only runs for 10 minutes. Then if you try to restart again it won't? My old car I could restart it over and over and over again does the RAM have this as a limitation for some reason?

I believe my 2011 will only run for 15 minutes (manual gives limitations) and then shuts off. If you unlock it and relock it, it might reset the computer so you can start it again remotely.

If it’s factory remote start, it will run for 15 minutes. You can remote start twice and let it run 15 minutes each. If you want to do it a third time, you have to cycle the key to the on position. This is from the owners manual. It’s the same for 2009-2018.

Mine runs for 15 minutes and I can restart it with no problem.

What year & model is your truck? Is it an OEM remote start?

Yes it's OEM. 2011 Laramie. I'll try cycling the door locks in the morning and see if it will run a second 15min.

Nope. 30 minutes total is all you get. Have to cycle the key after that.
