I bought a 2016 Ram 2500 and the remote start never worked. I just figured it didnt come with it although this morning I did a search with the Vin and it did come with remote start. I viewed previous comments on others threads and saw that the hood open might be an issue. Since I bought it I never had looked to see if the dash panel stated anything but it did state: cancelled, hood open. I actually didnt know there was such an electronic device to check the latch. I open the good and there it was disconnected to the sensor. It looked as it at some time someone had pushing the connection down by accident as the top Male spade was showing. I pushed the female part back on, shut the hood and pushed the remote button twice and it started. Problem solved ! Thanks for everyone's input on previous threads !
