I left early Saturday morning to take my daughter out fishing for some silver salmon. We followed a buddy of mine to where he thought the boat access was. Well we ended up down a narrow trail that was fine for him in his toyota but my big ram ended up being too heavy for the trail. The trail gave way and we slid off the trail down through brush and stopping by slamming into a tree in reverse. Good news was the boat and motor that was in the bed of my truck took most of the impact crushing both. The bad part was the boat was in the bed so now the bed of the truck is smashed up into the cab. I have deep scratches all over the truck and some tore up wheels due to climbing a mountain in the truck to get out. I am thinking about $9,000 in damages to the truck but I will find out more tomorrow. Good news about the trip is my daughter caught her first salmon.

Rather not share pictures. Just looking at the truck makes me sick to my stomach. I have not even washed my truck since. Waiting for insurance adjuster tomorrow.

That sucks. Good thing it didn't go worse, and hopefully it'll be fixed in no time.

Ok I dropped the truck off at the body shop. I leave to go out of town on wednesday so it should be good to go when I come back in a few weeks.
The damage to the paint can mostly be buffed out so that will save the insurance company some money. They have to replace the tail gate, bed of truck next to the cab, fender flares, and tail lights. I am working on the insurance part on the boat so I hope I break even on this but it looks like I will be down almost a grand in this.
I will have the truck shop that did all my work throw on my adjustable shocks while I'm gone seeing how they will have my truck to rhino line the new bed.
