About to buy some 24" SRT 10 wheels and I'm trying to figure out what tires I should get. I've used the online tire calculator so I know the dimensions, I'm just trying to see what everybody else is using. I will be doing the 2/4 drop very soon.

OPTION 1 - 305/35/24 is about 1/2" smaller than the stock tire overall diameter, obviously a lot wider than the stock, and side wall is in the middle of the three options.

OPTION 2 - 295/35/24 is almost a full inch smaller in overall diameter compared to stock, a decent amount wider that stock, and has the smallest sidewall of the three options.

OPTION 3 - 285/40/24 is the exact same overall diameter as stock, is a little wider than stock, and has the most sidewall of the three options.

option 3 seems to be the most practical, I'm just worried they might not be wide enough on the 10" wide wheel.

option 1 would look the best I think seeing as how they are so wide and have a decent amount of sidewall and are close to stock diameter. But they are also going to be the heaviest and most expensive.

option 2 seems like the worst choice because of the small overall diameter and the small sidewall. Of course this is the tire that comes on the wheels I want if I buy the "package deal" already mounted and balanced.

SO WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS DO?

Dang! 51 views and not a single bit of input from anybody LOL.

I went with the 305/35r24 for anybody that was wondering. Called Factory Reproductions and they were willing to sell me a pkg deal with the tires I wanted for, believe it or not, just a little bit less than their advertised package deal price. I assume because I am having them shipped to my business and that is cheaper than residential.

Gonna have to get the drop ordered and throw it on ASAP now.

We'll see. The biggest I've ever gone on any of my trucks is 305/40/22 and they really weren't that bad. I just wanted to give the 24s a shot. If I end up hating it I'll just sell them and get the 22s with 305/45/22.

Same

I'm in same boat and I have it narrowed to option 1 & 3 I like option 3 as it is same size so no need to recalibrate speedo and offer way better performance then stock size and for me it seems if I were to build my truck to be a auto cross killer or just flat out a handling beast then option 1 seems best but recalibration is needed which for me no biggie with Diablo trinity lastly I kinda like the rim to tire % with the 285 but that's a completely personal preference

Option 3 was definitely my second choice. I was just concerned that they might not be wide enough for the 10" wheel and I figure the beefy 305 will look better too. I also had a hard time finding the 285/40r24 where as the 305/35r24 is made in abundance.

I went with the 305/35/24. Just put them on last night. Needs a drop kit bad.
