Considering a 295-50r20 as replacement for my stock 275-55r20 tires. Normally on a 4x4 truck I wouldn't consider a lower profile tire. But, I don't really want to go any taller, so to maintain the final gear ratio. most of my off-road adventures are at the beach. So, wider probably buys me more than taller anyway. I also don't want to compromise the awesome mileage of this EcoDiesel setup :) and the last kicker, I can get a 295-50r20 General Grabber UHP for about $161 at Discount Tire. That's a decent price and good reviews.

Other than a larger road contact patch causing a drop in mpg, wider on sand is a good thing. I guess that's why so many people that go out on it deflate the tires to help with traction.
