First post but I've been visiting here for a while now as part of my research into buying a new truck. And, after months of wading through lots of info, here is the result. 2013 2500 Mega Cab Laramie, 5.7 Hemi, Light Beige interior. Got it Friday (12 July) and even though I haven't put a lot of miles on it I'm really loving this truck. Plan on keeping it for a long time.

Welcome aboard!
How do plan on using it, being that you went to 2500 w/Hemi?

Plans for the new rig

I got the Hemi because I just couldn't justify the extra up-front expense for the diesel and the higher price per gallon every time I fuel up as I know I won't be towing enough to warrant it. If and when I do tow something I'll deal with the lower MPG (if any) that I will get. My last truck was a '99 F-350 Super duty with the 7.3 diesel, dual rears. It was used to pull a 25' 5th wheel RV and as it would never see off-road conditions it was ordered in two wheel drive. This rig was chosen from the experience from that one. I wanted a 4x4 for the weather and road conditions out here in the winter. A Laramie because I really like that trim level and, well, my butt gets cold in the winter and heated leather seats rule. Mega Cab for the extra room. I mean holy crap there is a whole 'nother truck in the back seat!
That is a pretty long winded reply but I couldn't figure out how to answer any shorter.

Welcome to RamForum. I think you should call it "The Great Pumpkin" or "The MEGA Pumpkin"
