I'm sure you mentioned it but what size tire do you plan on running?

Mines at 2.8 and my front is a hair higher. Only by a measuring tape can you see it. Now saying that when I drop my lift on it 6 front 5 rear, Im bringing the front down to 2.1 just for my preference of style.

As for being on 2.8 Ive had no issues off road, in 4auto on the road, and so on. I have no noises, Ive bounced the front pretty hard more than once and didnt lose a ball joint or anything.

I am thinkimg the ridge grappler in 35-11.50-20. It is 34.8hx11.4w and wieght is 62lbs. I am thinking 2.1 with them. I also have the 8" oem rims so that and the 11.4 should hopefully keep me clear. At 2.1 with my measurements my front would be at 38.75 and with a 1" rear spacer 40" 1.25" rake which is okay with me just do not want nose high or even appear high. here is my parts list.
bills front and rear 5100
mevo ucas
1" rear coil spacer
black gorilla lugs.
also on hand .25 wheel spacers just in case.
anything else I may have missed or needed for this. I am working on pics.

Got my bils at 2.1, with cooper stt pro tires 295 60r20, measure 11.5 wide. No rubbing, no issues, no messing with rear or spacers. Looks awesome and rides great, love it!

Don't waste your money on the mevotech if you plan to set at 2.1" and the tire should fit fine. It's when people try stuffing a 35 x 12.5 that debate of rubbing comes in to play

I changed out the rear shocks (bolt ons) and set the front struts at 2.1 because I read about a lot of people had issues at the highest setting. I am running 275/65/R20 TKO2 AT's on stock rims and the front looks a tad higher than the back. I just did this install so when the struts settle it will be perfect. It's really about personal preference. I love the 2.1 setting. See for yourself I will attach pics.

Out of curiosity when you all do your measurements for the before and after are you using stock tire size for both before and after? Or is your final measurement with new tire size?

here are some pics. anyway which way is more accurate to measure rake. ground to fender or top of tire to fender. just curious.so far I have debadged it,removed the oem decals, stubby antenna, ventshades, weathertech mats, black fuel door cover, black liscense plate covers,oh and low profile tool box in black diamond, smoked brake light.. so those are all great but really cannot wait to do the bills mod and tires.

I would suggest you wait on the spacer until you see the results of the 2.1 lift.

Yea holding off on the rear spacer is probably a smart idea. You may have more rake the. You think with a 2.1 setting

I just bought my 14 Ram a few months ago and am going to install 5100's in a few weeks. My question is, how many people are having issues with installing these on the 2.8 setting? I'd like to get the most lift that I can but I also don't want problems with ball joints or uca issues. I had a Nissan Titan prior to getting this Ram and uca contact was an issue.

I would replace the UCAs anyway. The Mevotech are like $80 for the pair and much easier to do when you already have everything apart. Cheap insurance IMO.

Some say mevotech is no better then the oem's I haven't messed with them but may be a good idea to do more research on them. My theory is you get what you pay for. Zone uca'-$450 mevo-$80

Went 2.1 with mine it's still has a light rake but I'm happy with it. Haven't officially measured it.

I would be worried about the ball joints going higher than 2.1.

I actually upgraded my upper control arms to Zones control arms just for this reason. It make up for this so you don't pop your ball joints. They where 450$ for the pair. If you go 2.8 I'd recommend you adding this to your list.

I will be going 2.1 with mevo's probably because they are here with everything else and I would only loose cash selling. I also understand what you are saying about the spacer in rear but just figured everyone seems to hold alot of stock in there #s and I want 1" or so of rake. Only me but our hood style level makes it seem nose high to me. So visible rake I am okay with. tuff to see 1" over the lenght of the qc cab style. thanks for all the help and I will post pics when she is done. As I go.
