you always hear that leveling the suspension causes premature wear on the components, so my question is for the 4th gen guys that have been leveled out for a decent amount of time,

have you experienced any of this? (ball joints, cv axles, vibrations)

im dieing to level my express, but for a single vehicled family and its my daily driver i dont want to KILL my reliability.

im not expecting it to be horrible, but what are we talkn on the new life expectancy for my front end..... and will aftermarket ball joints help

I'm running a 2.5" HBS, had it on the truck 6 months now, no vibration or any noticeable difference in driving from stock really.

On a 2500 you'll wanna also get the offset ball joints to realign the front geometry as the lift shifts the whole shebang towards the passenger side of the truck.

Front suspensions have been about the same for many years from what I understand. So take a look at what the 3rd gen folks have experienced and should be similar.
I belong to the camp that recommends the 2" if just doing a spacer style level kit. My next truck will get a Bilstein 5100 setup set at 2.1" - I had issues with 2.5" spacer - ball joints and tie rod ends were shot at 40,000 miles. No offroad driving either. Went down to 2" and stronger UCA and ball joints and rounding off another 40,000 miles and all seems great! Ride is good. Etc.

does anyone know if you can get a drop bracket for the front diff? Have my blisteins at 2.8 and instead of getting kore cvs id rather try another option as i only have 12k on my truck. no problems yet through all the offroading, but i did do a 0-60 run in 4wd and had the infamous vibration

same spring... just moves the bottom of the spring up the shock causing a higher spring compression . theres a couple of good youtube vids on them

My question is i hear alot about 2.5 inches being to much of an for the CV's. How are you guys running the bilsteins up to 2.8 and not having CV trouble? Im only asking because i want mine leveled but doesnt look like 2 inches will level and 2.5 is to much for the CVs. I appreciate anyone opinion on this..

go with bilstein 5100s, had them on for over a year now with no issues. set them at 2.8'' though because they will sag a little bit after re alignment. i had a 2.5'' level before bilsteins and didnt like the ride quality. the bilsteins will give you better ride than stock
