I know that. Just wondering why SeriousBlack decided on the spacer, versus a shock. I've seen them both ways; just not sure why people are going one way over the other.
Shocks don't lift the rear ... A spacer above the coil spring does , if one puts Bilsteins in the back , it's just to install a better shock than the OEM one .
Shocks do not lift the rear end.

Hmmmm. I wonder why I thought people were getting lift off the bilstein. I can see doing it for a better ride.

Lots of folks say they have Bilsteins all around , but the rear bils are non lifting .Complete different set up , take a look at your OEM ones and you'll see what I mean .
If you raise the rear more than 2" it is recommend to install a longer shock that the OEM

Thanks for the link. Seems simple enough, and I've spent enough time swapping suspension parts on vehicles. So is the bilstein a longer shock, or just better?

The level project is the last of my big projects that I foresee.

Better imo. , they do make longer ones for lifted trucks , for a level just use the OEM length. If you go above 1.5" in the rear I'd be considering a longer shock to keep from topping out the shock while 4 Wheeling over rough terrain.

If you do not 4 wheel on rough terrain , then 2" max lift in the rear .
Some like to keep 1+ inches of rake ...

What are you guys with bilstiens setting your alignment at. I've been leveled for a couple months and just less than a week ago put bigger wheels and tires on. Didn't know if stock specs are ok or people do something different.

I just went to my local off-road shop and got a front end alingment ??? I assumed they set the alingment within whatever specs they go by ??

Are you having trouble getting yours allingned Sir ?

My shop said mine required very little adjustment ...I waited a week for the appointment , I almost didn't get it allinged as it road very good already .
I set my bills to +2.8" ...

No no problems, just was not sure if there was any special setting need with it leveled.

I'm working on my wish list. Bils up front, set at 2.8, and movo UCA swap. Rear I plan to put bils, too, but not sure on coils or spacers. I don't have anything to haul (yet) but I want to get into camping and that might be a pop-up trailer. If I decide to go Icon springs, then is it safe to say I won't need air bag helpers, but if I go spacers I'd need a helper air bag to supplement the stock springs?

I did mine myself , but I'd say shop rate for no more than 3 hrs and a front end alignment charge so probably about $300-$350

I’ve got one quote right now of $384. Which just seems outrageous. I know it’s something I could do myself if I had the time
