I wanted to know. I currently have 2.5" spacers in the front leveling my truck so that I could fit my 35" Toyo's on. I wanted to have those removed and put on the adjustable billstein shocks so I could lift the entire truck 4" or so (I think they lift up to 4.5" correct?)

Is this a good idea and would this work? Also...I'd prefer to have the downward rake back on the truck...so maybe lift the front only 3" and back 4"? would this work? Any help would be great guys thanks!

Oh, it's a 2010 Sport 1500

5100s only lift 2.7". If you want 4" you'll have to go with a full kit

^^^this. The bilsteins will do the same thing as your level spacers you have on currently. They're just better than spacers. If you're wanting 3-4 inches if lift, you want a lift kit. Or 3" body lift. If you still want rake, do bils @ like 2.1, and run a spacer in the back.

Like others have said, the bils only basically level the truck. They do not lift the rear of the truck at all. I just put a 4" zone lift on my truck with the bils at 1.4. I just made a thread of the results this morning..check it out for reference.

If you go with a zone 4" lift and the 3" springs in the back then you will get the lift you are looking for and also the rake back. If you don't want to be level then don't spend the money on bilstiens. The lift itself will get you the desired rake. I personally don't like rake so I have the 4" zone with 3" rear spring and front bilsteins set at 1.4 so it will sit level. Hope this helps.

how much was the zone 4" lift kit and how much did you pay for installation?
