I am either going to order the HBS 2.5' leveling kit or some Bilstein adjustable shocks here soon. I am leaning towards the Bilstein adjustables but my question is since I am only really after leveling my truck, would there be anything wrong with just ordering a set of Bilsteins for the front and leaving the stock shocks in the rear?

Do adjustables work on a 4x4?...not sure who, but someone on here said they don't. But, then I remembered Muscle was running them on his 4x4

I'm running them right now on my truck. No mods to the rear end.

Hardest part of installing them was getting the ball joints apart. Dodge makes a tool but I'm too cheap to buy one. Just modified a small Jack to work. If I didn't again I wouldn't go completely level. When in 4x4 I get a little CV vibration. Looked at high pitch joints but I'm not in 4x4 right to justify the cost. Yet.

the adjustable only work on 4x4, maybe you saw where somebody said they didn't work on 4x2?

Nope, I remember someone said 'He can't get adjustables because hes 4x4 and has torsion bars.' Unless i'm missing something having to do with t-bars

Yea that is because 02-05 4x4's use torsion bars. In 06 they switched to the coilovers

Ok great! Thanks for all the respsones. Are there any pros/cons to getting the bilstein adjustables vs a HBS 2.5' leveling kit for example?

...I mean if money wasn't a factor, is one necessarily better than the other if the main goal is just to level the truck?

I currently have the bilsteins in the front only. I think the only diffrence between shocks and a kit would be ride quality. My truck rides so much better with the bilsteins in the front rather than stock.

What he said. A lot of people have said the ride quality was better with the bilsteins
