Can I get any trouble with the ball joint with the lift 2.5"

I had a pro comp and my ball joint popped. My local suspension want to replace it with a daystar and said they never get any trouble with it and daystar it self said I won't have any trouble with it.

Honestly I don't trust them, but for now they take care of me, but seems I am the only one who had this trouble. Even My dealer said I won't have any trouble. I call BS...

thank

You might get lucky and not have problems...however with the 2014's you very well could. Especially since you've already had it pop once. Why don't you replace the UCA'S? Mevotech makes some awesome ones!

I have a 2014 with a procomp 6" lift and I added the daystar 2.5 kit to level the front.. After settling I got about 2 1/4" out of it. No ball joint problems, axle angles are fine, no problems in 4 wheel drive.

Had the same daystar kit on my 2013.. No problems on there either. Only thing I will say is that when installing it on a truck at stock height.. It's not going to look like you got a whole lot out of it (lift wise) and it will not level out your truck. You're still going to end up having an inch or two of rake.

I went on the website and I'm intrigued. They seem different than say a roughcountry lift. Are they softer or something?

They're made out of polyurethane instead of steel or aluminum. I didn't notice much of a difference between the metal vs poly spacer (had both) as far as ride quality. The only difference you might find is the poly spacer might settle more over time then the metal.

Would the poly spacers (daystar) wear out over time?
